"Mini Maritsa East" expect a record output of 35 million tons of coal this year
"The "Maritsa East" complex must be developed as a guarantee for the stability of the region and the energy system of the country" - this was stated by the Minister of Energy, Mr. Rosen Hristov, during his visit to the "Troyanovo - North" mine. "Here there is a serious potential for the development of new industries that will ensure employment and prosperity," explained the minister quoted by the press center of "Mini Maritsa East".
In "Mini Maritsa East", Minister Hristov checked the possibilities of securing the necessary quantities of coal for the production of electricity, which is key to energy security during the upcoming autumn-winter season. The company's economic results are good, it works at a profit, the company's management reported to the minister.
Rosen Hristov visited the "Troyanovo-sever" mine, where he attended the opening of a commemorative plaque and a retrospective exhibition on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the second mine in East Maris. He congratulated the manager of the "Troyanovo-sever" mine, Eng. Stoyko Bashalov, and congratulated the miners on their holiday.
Eng. Ilza Chinkova thanked all current and former miners for their work and the results achieved over the years. In her welcome, she emphasized her satisfaction with the good teamwork and wished everyone health and success. "For the first six months of this year, more than 17 million tons of coal were mined. If we maintain this rate of work, we expect a record production of 35 million tons of coal for the company's 70-year history," explained Mrs. Chinkova to the Minister of Energy.
Minister Hristov got acquainted with the production process and the possibility of "Mini Maritsa-East" EAD to provide the necessary quantities of coal for the production of electricity from thermal power plants in the country.
