Minister Pulev: In the mandate of the official cabinet, there are already BGN 20 billion under 10 European programs approved by the EC
100% of MIG programs with a total resource of BGN 5 billion have been approved
The total resource approved by the EC in the mandate of the official cabinet is already BGN 20 billion under 10 European programs. This was announced by the Minister of Innovation and Growth, Alexander Pulev, in response to a parliamentary question from Iskren Mitev regarding the provision of funds for business under European structural funds and programs.
Minister Pulev pointed out that in recent weeks another program was approved, which is in line with the Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIG) - Program for "Scientific research, innovation and digitalization for intelligent transformation" 2021-2027 (PSRIDIT) with a budget of 2 BGN 14 billion
"We made a strong final sprint. Two weeks - another two billion. The contribution of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth was very key," he added.
Pulev pointed out that when he entered the cabinet, 0 programs for BGN 0 were approved under the structural programs. At the moment, 100% of the MIR programs with a total resource of BGN 5 billion have already been approved.
The Minister of Innovation and Growth recalled that, in addition to PSRIDIT, in a record short period of time, the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Program 2021-2027 (PCIEP) with a budget of nearly BGN 3 billion has already been approved by the EC. The program was sent for approval on August 16 and approved on October 3.
He was adamant that this is the Ministry's legacy to the regular cabinet. Two programs out of two and a total of BGN 5 billion approved resource. "This is not my victory, this is not your victory, this is a victory for small and medium-sized businesses, a breath of fresh air in crisis conditions. We ensured maximum continuity and achieved excellent results," said Pulev. We have been going around for months with representatives from the local government, with the regional governors, all the regional cities, this is a victory for all of us. I ensured continuity, we gave a breath of fresh air to small and medium-sized enterprises in a crisis situation.
According to him, phase 1 has ended with this. "We worked at full speed and approved the resource for the programs in MIR. Phase 2 is ahead, which is just as responsible and not an easy task. Here comes the responsibility of the regular cabinet, these funds approved by the official cabinet, to reach the small and medium-sized enterprises, in the cleanest and most transparent way. To reach the best, the most prepared, the companies in Vidin, in Silistra, in Targovishte, in the economically backward areas.
