The delivery of intra-reactor detector blocks for the Sixth Unit of the Kozloduy NPP will be possible until November 15, 2023. This was decided by the Council of Ministers at its meeting today, changing its previous decision to grant a derogation from the prohibitions introduced by Regulation No. 833/ 2014 regarding restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.

In the previous government decision, the deadline for deliveries was fixed until the expiration of the contract between Kozloduy NPP EAD and its counterparty Spartak-V OOD - namely 15.09.2023. With their letter, the Russian producers notify of a possible delay in transport to Bulgaria due to enhanced security measures and special checks have been introduced in Kavkaz port, which is the only possible departure point for the delivery of the specific products to Kozloduy NPP EAD. So, the new delivery deadline is November 15, 2023.

With today's decision of the Council of Ministers, the derogation for deliveries to the Kozloduy NPP from the prohibitions introduced by Regulation No. 833/2014 regarding restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine is extended until the same date.
