The public discussion of the updated Integrated Plan in the field of energy and climate 2021 - 2030 continues
On 22.12.2023, the Ministry of Energy published for public discussion a draft update of the Integrated Plan in the field of energy and climate of the Republic of Bulgaria 2021-2030.
Pursuant to Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2018/1999 on the management of the Energy Union, the member states are committed to submit to the Commission their draft updated energy and climate plans, which will reflect the comments and comments of the EC on the initial documents from 2020 and to comply with the more ambitious climate goals of the European Green Deal and the European Climate Law, the "Ready for 55" Package, the REPowerEU Plan, the Recovery and Sustainability Plans.
Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Environment and Water, assisted by the competent departments, including Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Industry, Ministry of Innovation and Growth, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Executive Agency on forests and the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development are working together on updating the Plan.
