Minister Karadimov in Varna: The organization of the regional governors' elections is on time

The organization for the upcoming parliamentary elections is going perfectly in the various regions of the country. The activities are currently being carried out on time and according to schedule. This was stated by the Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov today in Varna. There he held a working meeting with the regional governors of Varna, Shumen, Dobrich and Targovishte and with representatives of the territorial units of the Main Directorate "Civil Registration and Administrative Service" (GRAO). It discussed proposals for increasing transparency and trust in the electoral process.

Minister Karadimov conducts the working meetings in his capacity as a coordinator for the implementation of the activities for the material and technical provision of the elections for the National Assembly on October 27, 2024. The goal is to create a mechanism for improving the coordination between the central government and the regional governors during their conduct.

"The main desire of the caretaker government is to make the election process as transparent as possible and to increase citizens' trust in it," Karadimov said.

The Minister recalled that tomorrow (September 20), the Ministry of Electronic Government will hold a procedure to draw the numbers of the voting machines, which will be certified for compliance with the upcoming early parliamentary elections. The draw will be public in order to ensure the transparency of the process and is part of the Cabinet's measures to ensure fair and democratic elections in the country.
