Dian Boev elected as Executive Director of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange

The Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange AD, in its capacity as the sole owner of the capital of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange EAD, elected Dian Boev as a member of the Board of Directors of IBEX. He will replace the current Executive Director, Mr. Konstantin Konstantinov.

The election is for a term of up to 6 months, within which a procedure for the election of a new member of the Board of Directors of IBEX EAD must be carried out, in accordance with the requirements of the Public Enterprises Act and the regulations for its implementation.

Dian Boev is a lawyer by education, a master's degree in European and international economic law from the University of Vienna. In recent years, he has worked in one of the leading international law firms in Bulgaria, with a focus on energy. He has experience in the electricity industry, renewable energy, natural gas, regulatory issues at European and local levels and procedural representation in energy cases.

The Board of Directors of the Exchange thanks Mr. Konstantinov for his long-term efforts to establish the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange as a transparent operator, the development of the three main segments of the Exchange, as well as the electricity market in Bulgaria.

The activity of IBEX is related to the organization of an electricity exchange market in Bulgaria. IBEX is a full member of: the market associations "Single Day-ahead Coupling" (Single Day-ahead Coupling) and "Single Intraday Coupling" (Single Intraday Coupling); the Association of European Energy Exchanges Europex; as well as an associate member of PCR (Price coupling of regions) the association of exchange operators working to create a common energy market in the EU.
