Minister Dilov and employer organizations will work to improve the business environment and accelerate economic growth

The Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Dilov and the employer organizations in our country will work together to improve the business climate in the country, to accelerate economic growth, as well as to reduce the administrative burden for business. This became clear during a meeting of the Minister of Economy and his team with representatives of the managements of the organizations that are members of the Association of Bulgarian Employers' Organizations (ABO).
The discussion discussed the main challenges facing the sector, including a review of regulatory regimes and a reduction in the bureaucratic burden, restoring macroeconomic stability in the country and providing support to make Bulgarian industry competitive.
Employers expressed strong support for Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), where the Ministry of Economy plays a leading role.
The meeting also discussed the need to preserve the existing tax model in our country, as one of the great advantages of the Bulgarian economy.
The parties agreed to renew and intensify the work of the National Economic Council (NIC) under the Minister of Economy and Industry. An agreement was reached to prepare a specific plan with priorities, which will be worked on with pre-set deadlines in the NIC's agenda. The Council is a good tool for creating measures to improve the business environment in the country, it was also emphasized at the meeting.
Minister Dilov pointed out that among the government's priorities is restoring trust in Bulgaria as a reliable economic partner and a promising location for investments and business. "We will follow the priorities at the European Union level and actively work together to attract investments, digitalize enterprises and address regional imbalances," he added.
According to him, maximum efforts will be made to solve both short-term problems and launch long-term initiatives to improve the economic situation in the country. "It is extremely important for us to work in close cooperation with employer organizations, we rely on your expertise," the Minister of Economy assured.
