Record 112 New COVID-19 Cases Bring Bulgaria's Total to 3,453

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 3,453 on Wednesday after a record 112 new infections were confirmed over the last 24 hours out of 2,045 PCR tests, the Health Ministry said in a press release.

The active cases are 1,455. The newly infected persons include 4 medical staff (a doctor, a nurse, an orderly and one other), and this category now totals 326.

The hospitalized patients number 267, including 13 in intensive care.

Another 33 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,817.

Five more fatalities were reported, bringing the total death toll to 181.
