Bulgargaz proposes that the price of gas in May be BGN 150.11 per MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT), according to the company's application submitted to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC).
This represents an increase of 5.27% compared to the price approved for April of BGN 142.59 per MWh.
At the same time, the company forecasts a gas price of BGN 148.63 per MWh for May 2022, which if the stated value for May of BGN 150.11 per MWh is confirmed, should be a minimal decrease.
"In compliance with the requirements of Art. 36a of the Energy Act, Bulgargaz EAD notifies its customers that the estimated price of natural gas for June 2022, formed in accordance with Art. 17 of Ordinance № 2 of 19.03.2013 on the regulation of natural gas prices is BGN 148.63 / MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT) or BGN 75.99 / MWh, calculated according to the BNB fixing ", Said in a statement.
The company clarifies that the estimated price is formed on the basis of estimated values of the price-forming components as of April 11, 2022. "
"For comparison, the prices on the European gas markets for delivery in June on April 11, 2022 are approximately 103.50 EUR / MWh", according to Bulgargaz.
The final proposal for approval of the price of natural gas for June 2022 will be submitted to the EWRC on 01.06.2022, taking into account the quotations of the price-forming components as of 31.05.2022.
We remind you that the Chairman of the EWRC Stanislav Todorov proposed that the estimated price be made in a shorter time, but this requires regulatory changes.
