The GERB/SDS party supports the proposal of the "Vazrazhdane" party to renegotiate the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability in the "Energy" part in order to preserve the mining enterprises in the Marishki basin. This became clear at a meeting between representatives of the two formations, BNR reported.

The invitation of "Vazrazhdane" was to all parliamentary groups, but only GERB and briefly - "Bulgarian Rise" responded.

Delyan Dobrev from GERB again insisted that the president convene a National Security Advisory Council on the issue of the future of coal plants: "And they are, after all, two sentences that bring the Bulgarian energy industry to its knees. We categorically agree with you that something must be done do.

The problem is so big that we have no choice, we have to start these negotiations in order to change these two sentences that condemn the Bulgarian energy sector, at least the coal sector, to bankruptcy".

Iskra Mihailova from "Vazrazhdane" said that the unstable political situation threatens the negotiations with Brussels, but this risk must be taken.

"The negotiations that we can currently hold are threatened by the very unstable political situation in which we find ourselves, by leaving the expert tone and the tone that requires statesmanship and entering a preliminary election campaign," commented Mihailova.

She declared that, in search of support, a dialogue will be sought again with the BSP. Earlier today, "Vazrazhdane" met with representatives of the trade unions.
