VAT on heat transfer services is again 20% from July 1
The value added tax on natural gas and central heating returns to the level of 20%.
Due to the energy crisis, the tax was temporarily reduced to 9 percent. Tourist and restaurant services and the use of sports facilities remain with a 9 percent rate until the end of the year.
Books and baby goods also have a 9% rate. Bread has zero VAT. The reduced rates reduce the revenues from indirect taxes in the treasury, experts remind.
As of July 1, the main interest rate is 3.12 percent at a level of 2.96% in June. The indicator is important for the calculation of interest on arrears, BNR recalls.
