The Minister of Economy and Industry Bogdan Bogdanov and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria H.E. Viktor Temirbaev discussed the possibilities for activating the economic cooperation between the two countries.

One of the spheres of interaction is the production of green hydrogen, it became clear during the meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Industry. "Bulgaria has all the prerequisites to become a regional leader in the production of green hydrogen," announced Minister Bogdanov.

During the talks, it also became clear that a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation is about to be held. "A lot of time has passed since the previous one, and the time has come to discuss future priority sectors for interaction," Minister Bogdanov said. It is also planned to hold a business forum with the participation of representatives of companies from both countries within the commission.

The Minister of Economy and Industry and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan also discussed the possibilities of increasing the exchange of goods between the countries, as well as sectors of mutual interest such as the development of transport infrastructure, diversification of the supply of energy sources, etc. Minister Bogdanov pointed out that Bulgaria is one of the largest producers of copper raw materials and emphasized that our goal is to grow in the supply chains so that we participate in the production of modules for electric cars. He also presented the newest industrial zone in the country - in Dobroslavtsi, which will be the first specialized in our country for the automotive sector.

"It is very important that our countries have a good political dialogue, but it is equally important that we have a good basis for economic cooperation," said Minister Bogdanov. Ambassador Temirbaev defined Bulgaria as an important economic partner for Kazakhstan and announced that there is a lot of unrealized potential in economic relations between the two countries.
