The caretaker government appointed 9 deputy ministers in several departments

By order of Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, deputy ministers have been appointed in 6 ministries, the government information service announced today. Alexander Iolovski has been appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Electronic Government. He has many years of experience in strategic planning, implementation, coordination and control of activities related to administrative reform and electronic management in the state administration. From the establishment of the Ministry of e-Government until August 2022, he held the position of Deputy Minister. In the period 2016-2019, he was the deputy chairman of the State Agency "Electronic Government". From 2011 to 2015, he worked successively as a department head in the Ministry of Finance and in the administration of the Council of Ministers. In various periods between 2015 and 2023, he held management positions in the National System Integrator. From June 2023 to April 2024, he held the position of Minister of Electronic Government.

By order of the Prime Minister, Lazar Lazarov and Nataliya Efremova were appointed to the post of Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy. Elka Nalbantova was released from the same post.

Lazar Lazarov is a Master of Economics at the University of National and World Economy. Since 1995, he has successively held consulting, expert and managerial positions in the National Employment Service (now the Employment Agency), the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Economic and Social Council, the National Assembly, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Working Conditions Fund. From November 2007 to July 2009, he was the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy. In the periods June 2013 - August 2014, November 2014 - May 2016, February 2017 - May 2017, as well as from the end of September 2017 to August 2022, Lazar Lazarov is a deputy - Minister of Labor and Social Policy. From August 2022 to June 2023, he was acting Deputy Prime Minister and acting Minister of Labor and Social Policy.

Natalia Efremova graduated in law from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. St. Kiril and Methodius". During the period 2003-2008, she was the director of the Directorate "Management of Programs and Projects" in the Ministry of Health. In the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, he held the position of Deputy Chief Director of the General Directorate "European Funds, International Projects and Programs" from 2009 to 2012, then from 2016 he was Chief Director of the same Directorate. From August 2022 to June 2023, he was the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, and from June 2023 he again held the position of Deputy Director General of DG European Funds, International Projects and Programs.

Yura Yordanova-Vitanova was appointed Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works. She is a Master of Laws at the New Bulgarian University. From 2017 to the present, he has been the director of the "Public Procurement" Directorate at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. From 2020 to 2021, she was the deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Bulgarian Waterworks Holding" EAD. From 2012 to 2017, he was a state expert in the DG OPOS in the Ministry of Education and Culture. She previously worked at the Commission for the Protection of Competition.

Biserka Tsaneva holds the position of Deputy Minister of Justice. Tsaneva is a Master of Laws at the University of St. Kliment Ohridski". Her career began at the OSS, Pleven, as an assistant investigator. From 2000 to 2006, he was a lawyer. From 2006 to 2010, he was a judge successively in the Regional and District Court in Pleven. After that, for one year she worked as a judge in the Sofia City Court, and then she was seconded to the Supreme Administrative Court - Sofia. From 2012 until now, he has been a judge at the Supreme Court. From 2018 to the present, he is the chairman of the VIII department of the Supreme Administrative Court.

Mihail Okoliyski and Ilko Getov have been released from the post of Deputy Minister of Health. By another order, Chavdar Georgiev was dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of Culture. Irena Dimitrova has been dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Genka Petrova-Tashkova has been dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of Education and Science. Ivaylo Shotev and Irina Stonova were released as Deputy Ministers of Economy and Industry.

Radostin Iliev, Ivan Peykov and Adelina Nikolova hold positions in the Ministry of Defense. Stanimir Georgiev was relieved of his post.

Radostin Iliev is a Bulgarian officer and brigadier general. Until then, he was an adviser in the policy cabinet at the Ministry of Defence. In the period January 2019 - June 2023, he was the director of the Directorate "Defense Policy" in the line ministry. Before that, he was the director of the Defense Staff, as well as the deputy military representative in the Military Commission of the EU in the Ministry of the Republic of Bulgaria to the EU in Brussels. Between 2005 and 2008 he served in the permanent delegation of the Republic of Bulgaria to NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

Ivan Peykov graduated in law from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". He is a long-term employee of the Ministry of Defense - he worked as an expert in the "International Treaties" department, the "Armament Policy" directorate, and was the deputy chief inspector. He also holds the positions of director of the "Defense Acquisition" Directorate, of the "Property Management and Material and Technical Support" Directorate and of the "Defense Infrastructure" Directorate.

Until now, Adelina Nikolova was the director of the "Public Procurement in Defense" Directorate at the Ministry of Defense. Before that, she worked as an expert in the department. She was also an expert in the political cabinet at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, where she was responsible for major international projects. He has extensive experience in the private sector.

Stoyan Andonov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. Ivo Katsarov and Daniela Dasheva were released from this position.

Stoyan Andonov holds a master's degree at Vasil Levski National Academy of Sciences. From 1993 to 2006, he was the director of the "Water Rescue Service" Directorate in the Bulgarian Red Cross. From 2018 to 2021, he was the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports.
