Georgi Samandov became Deputy Minister of Energy
The caretaker government appointed Georgi Samandov to the post of Deputy Minister of Energy. Samandov holds a master's degree in electrical engineering and electrical equipment from the Technical University in Sofia. In December 2013, he became the director of "Energy Markets" in a company from the energy sector. Before that, he was a sales representative and energy engineer also in companies of the system. In 2021, he was appointed acting Deputy Minister of Energy. This was announced by the press service of the Council of Ministers.
Viktor Atanasov was appointed to the post of Deputy Minister of Environment and Water. In recent years, he has been the manager of a private company. He worked in the Ministry of Finance. He has a master's degree in marketing and management, and graduated from the University of National and World Economy. He also holds a degree from the City University of Seattle.
Boyko Penkov and Dobromira Kareva were appointed Deputy Ministers of Health. Boyko Penkov has many years of managerial and administrative experience in the field of healthcare. He held the post of Deputy Minister of Health four times. Dr. Penkov was the director of the National Health Insurance Fund, the medical director of the University Hospital for Pulmonary Diseases and the manager of Sofiamed UMBAL.
Dobromira Kareva is an economist by education. He has extensive managerial experience in the field of production and trade of medicinal products. In the last two years, he has been involved in consulting activities in organic and inorganic pharmaceutical chemistry.
Ilko Ganev was appointed Deputy Minister of Culture. He has a doctorate in theater studies at the Institute for Arts Research at the BAS. He worked in the Union of Artists in Bulgaria in projects related to the theater, cinema, circus, initiatives in the field of social policy, charitable causes, as well as creative activities for the integration of children and youth with disabilities. In 2023, the Ministry of Culture participated in the updating of the regulations in the field of performing arts and the regulations of the National Fund "Culture" and the National Film Center.
Pavlin Petrov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Tourism. Until now, he was the co-chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Restaurants. He has many years of experience in the private sector. He has a master's degree in economics and tourism at the "Dimitar A. Tsenov" Academy of Economics - Svishtov.
By order of Prime Minister Glavchev, two deputy ministers were released - Ginka Mashova from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and Marieta Georgieva from the Ministry of Education and Science.
