Visit of Ukrainian specialists to the Belene NPP site

Specialists from the Ukrainian operator of nuclear power plants "Energoatom" are visiting the Belene NPP site. On site, they familiarize themselves with the equipment delivered under the project, as well as with the technical documentation. The visit was organized in fulfillment of a decision of the National Assembly of July 2023 to conduct negotiations for the potential sale of equipment intended for the Belene NPP Project. The process was launched last year, when the first concrete step to start the negotiation process was taken at a meeting between the Bulgarian and Ukrainian sides. This was announced today by NEC.

Within the framework of the visit, the Ukrainian specialists will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the re-conservation process, which the NEC experts carry out on the delivered equipment. The purpose of re-conservation is to preserve the condition of the facilities, which corresponds to the requirements for operation.
