"Days of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy 2024" are coming up in Burgas from May 30 to June 1

From May 30 to June 1, a conference "Days of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy" will be held in the "Sea Casino" Cultural Center in Burgas and online. The event is organized by the Center for Energy Efficiency EnEfect, the Municipal Network for Energy Efficiency EcoEnergy and the Municipality of Burgas.

This year's edition is dedicated to the development of knowledge and skills to implement measures for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources (RES) in buildings.

The conference will start on May 30 at 1:30 p.m. together with representatives of the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development (ASED), the Chamber of Builders in Bulgaria (CBB), the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (BCC), the Bulgarian Association for Insulation in Construction (BAIC), National Agency for Vocational Education and Training (NAVET) and experts from the sector. Open discussions will be held on current trends in vocational education and training, changes in state educational standards and the development of a continuing professional qualification system.

Within the framework of the conference, the new Roadmap for increasing knowledge and skills in the construction sector, developed under the BUILD UP Skills project, will be presented.

The main highlight for this year is the presentation of the project for the first energy community in Burgas, which will take place on June 1 at 12:00 p.m. The project was initiated by the Municipality of Burgas in cooperation with international and Bulgarian organizations and provides an opportunity to all residents of the city to be included.

The conference program includes the following activities and topics:

Educational seminar for designers and construction specialists - focus on current issues for achieving optimal energy efficiency.

Seminar for house managers and home owners - information on low-budget energy saving measures.

Training for municipal specialists - investor control, energy certificates and photovoltaic installations.

Demonstrations of the latest construction materials, products and technologies - within a specially organized product exhibition.

Kalina Tsolova, Center for the Study of Democracy; Representatives of the Municipality of Burgas and Technical University - Sofia.

The organizers will also pay special attention to children, as on June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., together with the Geograf BG team, through interesting games and activations, they will introduce children to the importance of how to properly store energy with care for our health and for the protection of our planet.
