Over BGN 53 million have been paid under the Investment Program for municipal projects
Minister Koritarova signed another 91 agreements worth over BGN 104 million
More than BGN 53 million have already been paid in advance by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works to municipalities under the Investment Program for Municipal Projects.
So far, 1,700 applications have been submitted for project financing of objects under Appendix No. 3 of the state budget, and 1,000 of them have already been signed with 210 municipalities.
Yesterday and today the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Eng. Violeta Koritarova signed 91 new agreements with a total value of over BGN 104 million. They are with the municipalities: Gotse Delchev, Kresna, Satovcha, Malko Tarnovo, Pomorie, Sozopol, Elena, Pavlikeni, Polski Trumbesh, Vidin, Gabrovo, Dryanovo, Sevlievo, Tryavna, Tervel, Kirkovo, Sapareva Banya, Teteven, Varshets, Chiprovtsi, Breznik, Radomir, Gulyantsi, Sadovo, Borovo, Byala, Silistra, Tutrakan, Sliven, Chepelare, Gorna Malina, Zlatitsa, Kostinbrod, Mirkovo, Samokov, Svoge, Opan, Krichim, Chirpan, Popovo, Veliki Preslav, Kaolinovo, Smyadovo, Elhovo and Tundzha.
"You have chosen the most urgent projects to make the settlements and regions more welcoming and to improve the living conditions of the citizens in them. The construction season is summer and you have to work actively. I know there will also be dissatisfaction with the dug-up streets, but in order to improve the technical infrastructure, now is the time to work. We will all have to make efforts to improve living conditions," Violeta Koritarova told the mayors. The regional minister called on the mayors to monitor the quality of all procedures and to exercise the necessary control during the construction and installation works. She added that the next 1 to 3 years will see the result of these joint actions between the local and central authorities.
Minister Koritarova assured the municipalities that they can count on help from the Ministry in all matters related to the administration of the program and project payments.
