Kozloduy NPP is looking for companies to transport a block transformer from the Belene site to the nuclear power plant

The management of the Kozloduy NPP has announced a public order for the transportation of a block transformer type TC-630000/400-82 U1 from the site of the Belene NPP project to that of the operating nuclear power plant. The aim is to provide a reserve of transformers 9(10)GC01,02 on 5(6)EB, it is known from an announcement in the Public Procurement Agency (AOP). The estimated value (without VAT) of the public order is BGN 1,500,000, BTA reported.

Depending on the conditions for the execution of the activities under the order, the transport can be carried out in two ways. The first is to transport the transformer by land only. The republican road network will be used. Given the weight of the cargo, which is about 400 tons, the transport will be organized by the road control authorities, who will escort it along a route agreed with them. In the second way, the transportation of the transformer will be mainly by water. In this case, it will be loaded onto a vessel and transported along the Danube River from the Belene NPP site to Kozloduy NPP. A small part of the route will be the transportation of the transformer to the port of the NPP "Belene" and from the port of the NPP "Kozloduy" to the destination - the site of the administrative building EP-2. Intra-departmental roads will be used for this transport scheme. Its implementation will be directly dependent on the level of the Danube River.

The price specified in the contract cannot be determined only with a total value or unit prices, as laid down in the standardized form of the AOP in the section "Price, order and terms of payment". The standardized form of the AOP does not include clauses such as: price for preparing cargo for transport, cargo activities, performance of the transport service, unloading, coordination with the road control authorities of the transport scheme and their commitment to escort the cargo, it is specified in the written reasons to the public order.

The deadline for submitting offers or applications for participation is August 12, and the preliminary selection of participants will take place on August 14, according to the information on the public procurement.

BTA reminds that on May 22 this year the Council of Ministers decided to sell the National Electric Company to the Kozloduy NPP its long-term asset, which is located on the site of the Belene NPP. The facility is a power block transformer that will serve to implement the programs for the extension of the period of operation of the 5th and 6th units of the Kozloduy NPP. Its value is close to BGN 1 million. The sale will be carried out through direct negotiation between the two companies, at an initial sale price determined by an independent appraiser, and according to the procedure regulated in the Regulations for the implementation of the Law on Public Enterprises.

With the realization of the transaction, the security of the equipment of the Kozloduy NPP will be guaranteed, as well as the optimization of the time for carrying out repair activities, the government's decision also states.
