An increase in fine dust particles is reported by the latest data of the mobile stations of the Regional Environment and Water Inspection (RIOSV), located in Stamboliyski and Plovdiv. This was announced by the regional governor of the city of Plovdiv, Prof. Hristina Yancheva, after a conversation with the director of the inspection, Ivaylo Yotkov, BTA reported.

The increase in values ​​is the result of the fire at the landfill in the village of Tsalapitsa, which broke out last evening. The RISV specified that the other indicators are normal.

"It is recommended that the windows be closed, and that more sensitive people, pregnant women, heart patients and small children stay indoors. The rest of the citizens should go outside with masks," added the regional governor after a conversation with the director of the Regional Health Inspection (RZI)-Plovdiv, Dr. Argir Argirov.

Extinguishing the fire at the landfill continues at this time. It is limited and according to the information of chief inspector Dimitar Brishimov, head of the "Firefighting and rescue activity" sector in the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" (RDPBZN)-Plovdiv, the flames are expected to be extinguished today. Heavy equipment is working in the field, which is starting to ring. Plovdiv is gassed by the suffocating smell.

We remind you that on August 1, a fire broke out on the territory of the regional landfill for non-hazardous waste near the village of Tsalapitsa, municipality "Rodopi". The flames covered an area of ​​about 15-16 acres.

Agricultural equipment was called in to help plow around the dump to prevent the fire from spreading to dry grasses in the field. As a result of the fire, there was heavy smoke.
