International seminar on "Skills and knowledge for smart and high-performance buildings" begins

On August 22, 2024, the National Palace of Culture will host an international seminar "Skills and knowledge for intelligent and highly efficient buildings", organized by the Center for Energy Efficiency EnEffect and its international partners.

The event is a joint initiative of the international projects OutPHit, nZEB Ready, SMART2 and DiVIRTUE, and its focus is on skills and knowledge for certification, design and construction of smart and high-performance buildings - a topic that is becoming more relevant with the growing importance of energy efficiency and smart technologies in construction. Along with this, the event offers excellent opportunities for contacts with professionals from all over Europe – leading experts in the field of construction and sustainable energy from 13 European countries will be present in the hall.

The program includes the following sessions:

• Results of the OutPHit, nZEB Ready, SMART2 and DiVIRTUE projects directly from their leaders: Jan Steiger (Executive Director of the Passive House Institute, Darmstadt, Germany), Horia Petran (Executive Director of the PRO-NZEB Cluster, Romania), Nicolas Constantinu (coordinator of international projects, CyRIC, Cyprus), and Dragomir Tsanev (EnEffect, Bulgaria).

• Practical tools and real-world projects that improve efficiency and comfort in buildings, with presentations by Stephane Palantzas (HPHI, Greece), Jan Steiger (Passive House Institute, Germany), Paris Fokaides (Euphyia, Cyprus) and Thomas Meservi (R2M, Italy).

• The latest training programs paving the way to near-zero energy buildings, with presentations from Horia Petran (PRO-NZEB, Romania), Damir Mandic (REA North, Croatia), Jiri Karasek (SEVEn, Czech Republic) and others.

• Professional contacts and cooperation: joint visit to the Bulgarian Passive House Shop, opportunity to test the intelligent readiness of individual buildings, time for informal conversations and creation of professional partnerships.
