BAIT, Bulgarian Fintech Association and ICT Cluster-Varna join BRAIT

Bulgarian Employers' Association of Innovative Technologies (BRAIT) is expanding its representation among high-tech industries in Bulgaria. It is joined by three new influential organizations - one of the doyens in the field - the Bulgarian Association for Information Technologies (BAIT), the Bulgarian Fintech Association (BFA), which unites the companies that have turned the Bulgarian fintech sector into one of the most successful in the region and one of the most active regional organizations - ICT Cluster - Varna.

With this, BRAIT continues to attract associations uniting progressive technological businesses in Bulgaria, whose goal is to defend specific strategic policies in the field of business environment, education and the rule of law. BRAIT strives to achieve a qualitative leap in the productivity of the Bulgarian economy and the efficiency of the public sector, so that Bulgaria is among the leading countries in Europe. The employers' association will also apply for participation in the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation.

Two months ago, BRAIT announced an unprecedented unification of all influential associations, clusters and companies representing the high-tech economy of Bulgaria, among which are BASCOM, AIBEST, BESCO, Institute for Agricultural Strategies and Innovations, Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies in Bulgaria (AGROTECH), Automotive Cluster Bulgaria, Biotechnology and Health Cluster, Industrial Cluster Srednogorje, National Courier Cluster, Cluster of Renewable Energy Sources, Cluster for Development and Training of Doctors in Dental and Human Medicine, Cluster Green Synergy, Cluster Mechatronics and Automation, Marine Cluster Bulgaria, Thrace Economic Zone Cluster, Black Sea Energy Cluster, etc.

The union represents over 20% of the GDP of the Bulgarian economy and is the basis of its competitiveness and digital transformation.

"In the conditions of increasing instability in the country, broad associations like BRAIT are extremely necessary in order to keep the important topics that concern the strategic economic development of Bulgaria on the agenda of society and politicians," says Dobroslav Dimitrov, Chairman of the Board of BRIGHT.

In her turn, the chairperson of the BAIT Board of Directors, Irina Radoeva, says: "We hope that the BAIT will help transform the country's economy into a modern, efficient and sustainable one, as technology is a guarantor of the development of all sectors of socio-economic life. It is a vertical process starting from the digital modernization of education, with the aim of developing technological knowledge and skills in adolescents, to accelerating the penetration and use of e-governance systems. We are convinced that this will be a long-term effort, in which BRAIT is the partner with which the state needs to cooperate, as technological organizations we are ready to provide all our expertise."

According to Emil Tsankov - Chairman of the Board of ICT Cluster - Varna, the representatives of the high-tech sector should always look for innovative solutions and create joint opportunities for development. "With our participation in BRAIT, we aim to expand our influence and make our contribution to strategic changes in the field of ICT, as well as to maintain stable and sustainable development of our region. In the ICT Cluster - Varna, we believe that the synergy between the various technological organizations and institutions is the key to the successful realization of Bulgaria's potential as a leader in digital transformation", emphasizes Emil Tsankov.
