Prime Minister Glavchev and ministers discussed urgent measures for the "cork" of the "Danube Bridge"
Taking urgent measures for the "stopper" of the "Danube Bridge" near Ruse. This was discussed at a meeting of Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev with Interior Minister Atanas Ilkov, Transport and Communications Minister Krasimira Stoyanova and Regional Minister Violeta Koritarova.
Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev tasked the ministers to talk with their Romanian colleagues in the department in order to take action together. Prime Minister Glavchev was adamant that the flow of heavy goods vehicles should be separated into two flows - the first for those from member states of the European Union, and the second for those from third countries. For this purpose, an organization will be created even before the border checkpoint.
"Do everything possible to speed up the crossing of the Danube Bridge." I call for quick action and finding effective solutions", the prime minister addressed the ministers.
It will be discussed again with representatives of the Romanian authorities about the launch of Ro-Ro shipping line "Ruse-Giurgevo-Ruse", which would ease the traffic on the bridge. The ministers noted that additional problems were created by the fact that the ferry at Oryahovo did not work for 3 whole days due to the low level of the Danube River, and this directed more heavy goods vehicles to Ruse.
