Minister Krasimira Stoyanova: The deadlines for building mobile stations and networks can be shortened at least 3 times

At least 3 times the terms for the construction of telecommunications facilities can be shortened if the amendments prepared by the Ministry of Transport and Communications to the Law on Electronic Communication Networks and Physical Infrastructure are adopted. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Krasimira Stoyanova, at a meeting today with mobile operators, the Ministry of Transport and Communications announced.

"At the moment, it takes more than a year to go through the administrative procedures, and our goal is that the preparation will take no more than 4 months," she added. Minister Stoyanova stressed that she will raise the issue this week at her first meeting with the Committee on Transport and Communications in the National Assembly.

The preparation of the notification for state aid for the broadband connectivity project in sparsely populated areas continues, it became clear during the meeting. It is carried out under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan and provides for 400,000 Bulgarians in hard-to-reach and remote areas of the country to have high-speed Internet.
