For the sixteenth year in a row, AES Galabovo CHP donated all the children in Galabovo Municipality who crossed the threshold of the school for the first time. The most modern coal plant in Bulgaria presented the first graders of the 1st primary school "St. Paisii Hilendarski", II "Hristo Botev" Elementary School, "Vasil Levski" Elementary School and "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" in the village of Obruchishte 100 school backpacks full of school supplies and materials. School backpacks were also donated to the first-year employees of AES Bulgaria throughout the country.

"For every child, the first day of school is full of excitement because it is a new beginning. The beginning of the long road of maturation and knowledge. Therefore, all of us at AES Bulgaria wish them a good time and much success, because knowledge is power! We are happy that for another year we can be part of the celebration of the first graders in the pigeon schools", said Mariana Gerenova, complex manager for all production assets of AES Bulgaria.

The provision of all the necessary supplies for the first-graders is part of the corporate social responsibility program of AES Bulgaria, which amounts to nearly BGN 16 million since the start of the company's activities in the country. Education is among the main priorities of this program, which aims to encourage the development of young people in the region, stimulate their curiosity and skills and promote their confidence and self-esteem.
