Fund of Funds Launches Market Consultation for Equity and Quasi-Equity Financing Instrument Targeted at Startups, Students and PhD Students
The total budget of the financial instrument is EUR 12.52 million and is financed with funds from the Education Program 2021-2027 (EP), co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+)
Fund of Funds has launched market consultations in connection with the structuring of the Financial Instrument for equity and quasi-equity financing "Fund for Student and Doctorate Startups".
During the consultations, which will take place in the form of individual meetings with all interested parties, the following topics will be discussed:
§ Market opportunities and main factors related to risk financing and the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem;
§ Structure and main parameters of the Financial Instrument, including mechanism for its implementation, size of the resource, territorial distribution, achieved results, method of income distribution, and others;
§ Investment strategy and process of raising potential investments;
§ Indicative financing conditions: main expected financing parameters, incl. need to raise private capital, price conditions, amount, timeliness, etc.;
§ Structure of the fund and the team that will manage it.
"Fund for start-up enterprises of students and doctoral students" is financed with funds from the "Education" Program 2021-2027 (PO), co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and has a total budget of 12.52 million. euro. Through it, with the help of equity and quasi-equity investments, the creation of start-ups by students and/or PhD students will be stimulated and supported to start a business or other type of entrepreneurial initiatives. The aim is to provide support for increasing innovation activities in higher education institutions in the conditions of the digital economy, as well as for significantly improving the opportunities for implementation; to support the development of students' entrepreneurial skills through participation in the entrepreneurial process, namely through "learning by doing" and to increase the quality of the connection between education, science and business.
