OMV Petrom, the largest integrated energy producer in South-Eastern Europe, is expanding its activities in the supply of natural gas to the Bulgarian market. From October, industrial users in Bulgaria can take advantage of OMV Petrom's offers.

Frank Neal, Member of the Executive Board of OMV Petrom responsible for gas and electricity: "In the last two years, we have strengthened our presence in the Romanian market and started to expand our operations in the region. Bulgaria is a natural step, given the geographical proximity and the fact that we are already present in this market with the network of OMV petrol stations and with the exploration activities in the Black Sea".

For its entry into the market of supplies to industrial customers in Bulgaria, OMV Petrom relies on its experience as a leader in supplies to non-domestic customers in Romania. The company is upgrading its activities on the Bulgarian market, where it already sells wholesale gas.

Angel Yankov, manager for Bulgaria of OMV Petrom Gas & Power: "We believe that we will establish ourselves as a reliable partner for natural gas customers in Bulgaria, with personalized and flexible offers in line with their expectations."

OMV Petrom operates along the entire chain of activities related to natural gas - from extraction and processing to marketing and supply. The company is the second largest producer of natural gas in Romania with 3.3 billion cubic meters of production for 2023. Through its own production and supply contracts, the company has covered approximately 40% of the consumption in Romania in 2023.

OMV Petrom owns 50% of the Neptun Deep project and is its operator. Neptun Deep is the largest natural gas resource in the EU, with production estimated at around 100 billion cubic meters. The first gas from Neptun Deep is expected to be delivered in 2027.

In Bulgaria, OMV Petrom is present through the network of OMV gas stations and holds the exploration license and is the operator of the Khan Asparuh offshore block in the Black Sea.
