The funds are provided for qualification and retraining under the "Just Transition" priority of the RDP 2021-2027

110 million leva can be invested in qualification and retraining of workers in the sectors most affected by the transition to climate neutrality. The aim is to prepare workers for their transition to alternative jobs, including entrepreneurship. The funds are provided through the 2021-2027 Regional Development Programme opened by the Managing Authority. to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria (MRDPW) a procedure for direct provision of grant aid "Support for workers in the affected sectors through training for qualification and retraining" under Priority 4 "Just Transition" of the program. This was announced by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria (MRDPW) today.

The resource, coming from the Just Transition Fund and the state budget, is intended for project proposals of 12 specific beneficiaries. They can submit their documents by two deadlines - by 6 pm on March 13, 2025 and by 6 pm on June 13, 2025.

The procedure finances activities related to training for improving professional qualification and retraining, specific professional training and those for acquiring skills for self-employment/business activity under Key Competence 7 "Entrepreneurship", as well as expenses for remuneration of workers for the period in which they are trained. The application guidelines are published in the UNIS.

11. Bobovdol coal basin deposit – Miner section – concessionaire TRASH ENERGY EOOD, city of Sliven;
