Transatlantic relations are the foundation of global economic prosperity, innovation and security. As the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Europe (AmChams in Europe), we call on leaders on both sides of the Atlantic to prioritize open and constructive dialogue, ensuring that our economies remain interconnected and adapted to the future.

Our shared economic space is the largest and most integrated market in the world, which has created millions of jobs and which fosters sustainable growth on both sides of the Atlantic.

Businesses need stability, predictability and a favorable environment for trade and investment. The Transatlantic Partnership provides this essential framework. AmChams in Europe brings together 50 American chambers of commerce in 48 countries and together represents over 17,000 American and European companies. A strong transatlantic framework enables companies to thrive, invest and innovate.

The United States and Europe share one of the world’s most significant economic and strategic partnerships, accounting for nearly a third of global GDP and a combined annual trade volume of over $1.9 trillion. Transatlantic investment remains vital, with total foreign investment between Europe and the United States exceeding $7.4 trillion, creating over 16 million jobs and boosting global competitiveness. These numbers underscore the robust investment relationship between the United States and Europe, reflecting deep economic integration and mutual financial commitments.

While differing perspectives may arise, our partnership is rooted in shared values, mutual interests and decades of economic cooperation. AmChams in Europe is the collective voice of American and European business, advocating for policies that promote economic resilience, innovation, and sustainable development.

Now is an important time to reaffirm our commitment to this partnership. The transatlantic relationship is not just about trade, but about shared prosperity, innovation, and a vision for a stable and thriving global economy.

Let us strengthen the bridges that unite us, enabling businesses and communities to continue to drive economic success for generations to come.
