Bulgaria joins European initiatives in the field of hydrogen

Bulgaria joins the coordinated efforts of other Member States to promote hydrogen technology and develop the hydrogen economy. The realization of these intentions can contribute to solving problems such as carbon and energy intensity of Bulgarian industry, as well as to the creation of new sustainable jobs in the spirit of European green and digital ambitions, according to the press service of the Council of Ministers.

This will be done through the joint coordinated efforts of key government institutions, academia and industry. It is envisaged that the Minister of Economy will coordinate the hydrogen policy and together with the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, the Minister of Education and Science and the Chairman of the State Agency for Research and Innovation will prepare a National Hydrogen Concept in the Republic of Bulgaria.
